The teacher will be responsible for running a classroom/ lab program for Early, Elementary, Middle and High school grades that uses science based themes to develop 21st century skills in creative problem solving and critical thinking. The duties and responsibilities of the STEAM teacher involve instructions directly related to STEAM and Maker Lab/ Innovation Center.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design a rich and structured curriculum that incorporates engineering, robotics, technology and art (especially multimedia and sculpture)
  • Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers and actively participate with both Science, Technology and Creative arts teachers in designing, building, adjusting and implementing fresh projects and experiments that support student learning
  • Teach a variety of ages on a back to back schedule
  • Understand and be able to design, develop, assess, and manage STEAM learning experiences
  • Develop skills in students for science fair projects or exhibitions
  • Other responsibilities as required


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering / Diploma in Engineering
  • Minimum of two years teaching experience
  • Solid background in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) or STEM
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must have the confidence and willingness to amend curriculum
  • Experience (or familiarity with) tools such as, but not limited to: 3D printing, AutoCAD, laser cutting, vinyl cutting, Arduino, Makey- Makey, Sphero, Tynker, BeeBot
  • Effective written, verbal, and technology –based communication skills.
